How happy am I that speech therapy was canceled today? I plan on catching up with the blogs and gossip for a couple of hours. First just some links that caught my eye in the past few days:
I'm fascinated by Groupon. I've downloaded the app on my iPad and regularly read articles about it. The trouble is that I can't actually find a coupon on Groupon that I want to use.
Would you watch a TV show about Penelope Trunk?
Do we find ourselves, when we lose ourselves? Sometimes it is good to pursue a life that is about responding to a problem.

I suspect the Groupon deals vary a good bit by location…we’ve gotten two good ones since September 2010…good deals on things we were considering anyway…

Living Social works better for us: things I want to do/try or places I want to go to eat. Probably have a dozen to use this summer from rafting to massages, meals out, and rooms to get painted.

There was a Groupon for our favorite Mexican place. I think I bought 3 then kicked myself for not buying more. 🙂
I’m sitting on one for a Thai place we like, and one for a local bookstore. Need to use them sometime this summer.

I’ve only bought one Groupon myself. I pass on the discounted therapy, the restaurants nowhere close to here, the waxing, and the facials…

I got my mother a 70% discounted massage from Living Social and she said it was great. I get Living Social and my husband gets Groupons. We went on a Frank Lloyd Wright tour with a groupon, but in general I haven’t found much that’s useful (that could have to do with being poor and living in Hyde Park).

Yes, and then feel bad about doing it. There’d be PT, her boys, the Farmer, cute farm animals, her in-laws (always running away from the camera crew), any locals who can be rounded up, PT’s therapist, PT’s ex-husband, PT’s hapless venture capitalists and PT’s lovelorn house guests. It would be fantastic TV
I’ve never really felt like PT understands that businesses are supposed to make money. For PT, a new business venture is a bottomless pit to pour other people’s money into until she gets bored and it’s time to dig a new bottomless pit and ask other people for money.

I think “Penelope” makes up about 75% of the stuff she blogs.

Well, that would be a weight off my mind.
