Spreadin’ Love

Research from Pew confirms recent findings about the growing earning power and education of women. They find that 22 percent of women earn more than their husbands today, compared to four percent in 1970. They also find that more women have a higher education level than their husbands, compared to 1970.

An interesting breakdown of activities on the Internet.

  1. They find that 22 percent of women earn more than their husbands today, compared to four percent in 1970.
The comparison is between “native-born 30-44 year olds,” which is not horse hockey, but leaves a few questions in my mind. What’s the trend look like for the younger-than-30 group? What’s the difference between the 30 years olds and the 44 year olds? How many higher earning women are not in the sample because they dumped their low-earning, non-chore-doing husbands when they were 29?

  2. any site which says it covers Internet users’ activities and has no category for ‘cruises for porn’ isn’t worth the pixels it’s printed on.
