Rhoda Janzen is in the Style Section of the New York Times. OK. The reporter said that her book
was surprisingly good, which was my reaction, too.
The ruins of Pompeii are now on Google Maps.

I just finished reading “Mennonite in a Little Black Dress” based on Laura’s recommendation and enjoyed it as well. Although a quick read, it isn’t as “chick lit-y” as the cover art might make it appear.
As someone who also changed social class/community, I found it interesting to read about how she reconciled where she came from and where she ended up. And I liked the not-too-snarky-I’m-too-cool-for-my-roots writing.
