What’s Going on Here?

Today, I’m depressed about Columbia and the Trump Trials. The entire island of Manhattan is just sucking right now. And Congestion Pricing hasn’t even gone into effect yet. Despite the craziness about 30 minutes from my front door, things are okay.

I started up a new venture two months ago. The Autism College Connection provides a mix of free and private support for parents with autistic young people as they transition to life after high school. As always, when you start something new, it is a shitload of work. But now I’ve got an LLC, a bank account, a website, social media presence, a mailing list of 1,300 names, and clients. Colleges are calling me for advice. The business is in good enough shape that I can chill a bit. I went for a 1-1/2 walk today and had a some mental health time with a dumb video game.

We looked at modern art at DIA Beacon in upstate New York on April 13th.

We’ve spent a week celebrating Ian’s birthday. He’s getting one more party this Saturday with extended family. Spoiled boy!

  1. We said goodbye to our cat last night. She started acting weird on Sunday, and I didn’t get her to the vet until yesterday, but it wouldn’t have mattered. The vet believes she had PCK (polycystic kidney disease, a congenital disease) and her kidneys had failed. I’m pretty devastated and trying to figure out how to make it through final grading. Everyone gets an A because my cat died? Is that a thing?
