Five weeks ago, we started two bathroom renovations to fix major structural issues. Complete gut job. Here’s what it looks like this morning. Hope to be done by this weekend. Vermont, Feb 2023 Three weeks ago, we started renovations in two bathrooms. We knew there were structural issues, but we weren’t quite prepared for the depth of the issues. Lesson #1 of home ownership: water wins! Anyway, we’re halfway done. Doing the standard Brooklyn bathroom - white subway tile with a line, black in one room, grey in the other. I wanted a colored tile line, but the contractor fit us into a hole in schedule and there was no time for a special order. So, the color is going on the wall. Picking out samples next. 35 years. Margie, Suze, Stu, and Chris. Good morning! Today: skim estate sale listings, list books in the Etsy shop, treadmill at gym, meet up with friends in the city for a walk through the park and dinner at the pub. Perfect day! In the midst of two bathroom renovations with tile samples and vanities spread out over the house. Doing my make up in the dining room mirror. Really looking forward to completion and to tonight’s Elvis Costello concert with Chris, Tammy Steele McKenna, Julian Koslow, and Carla Copeland! Yay! Albany; State Capital #2. And if we’re in upstate NY, it is mandatory to get wings and $4 pints in a dive bar. They came. They conquered. And only one broken rib! Taking pictures outside of every state capital in the country. #1 happened yesterday. Montpelier, VT
