I kind of want to send the heroine of the song to Chump Lady.
Somebody elsewhere on the internet linked to her original version of the song, from back in the 70s. Or maybe it was here. Anyway, that was the first time I realized that Dolly Parton was great.

There’s a New Zealand cop show called “Brokenwood Mysteries” where the main detective is a much-divorced middle-aged guy who drives an ancient car with a cassette player and inflicts his old time country music on passengers. That’s when I realized–hey, Patsy Cline is really good!

I saw a threat on Twitter from a MN police department that they would subject their drunk driving arrestees to One Direction cover bands.
