That’s a Slate clickbait article but, yeah, marsala is a terrible color.

It’s not very good wine either. It’s fine to cook with, but if you run out of something to drink and only have marsala wine, you still have to go to the store.

Last year was orchid, and while it’s also kind of a stupid color, I still somehow wound up with two items with orchid accents.
Nobody is going to make me buy anything marsala-colored, though.

Thanks for the Common Core/education blog link, Laura. The blog looks interesting and informative and I’ll check it out regularly. (I find education issues and esp Common Core terribly interesting. Once my kids started school I found it fascinating to see how they were taught, how they learned, how the methods changed from teacher to teacher and year to year.)
