  1. I tried this for a month around when she was finishing the year. For me, maybe because I wasn’t starting from zero and also ’cause it’s pretty easy in my area to thrift things like scarves for like, $1.49, it was doable and fun. I also don’t really mind repeating or looking a bit the same. I wouldn’t want to do it for a year though, mostly ’cause I missed jeans.

  2. I’m pretty sick of the “do something every day/week/month for an entire year so that you can score a book deal” gimmick, although I do think her dress is cute and tights and scarves are probably way cheaper in the long run.

  3. I kind of enjoy the gimmicks (especially the photo based ones, and of course most of them don’t turn into books). This one, from the photos, looks to me likea pre sold gimmick (ie, someone planned out how they were marketing the idea before the project began, mostly ’cause the photos are done professionally).

I also like clothes that people try to make versatile. Looking at some of those photos, though, the dress is just being thrown over the rest of an outfit.

I Do Not like the fundraising gimmick, which was not from saving money but was a fundraiser. I don’t like running, climbing, . . . Fundraisers, either.

“You save money on a dress, but then blow it all on colored tights and scarves.”

    Funny!
