Soup and Salad

We must repent after the calorie-fest during the holidays. I overindulged in white flour and processed sugar. I need to cleanse.

After Christmas dinner, the ham and the bone were promptly thrown in the freezer. Last night, they become the main ingredient in a huge pot of lentil soup. A bag of lentils, a box of chicken broth, and some veggies. Add some bread and a salad. It’s a meal for ten for about $5. I really should go back to work on my “After the Zombie Apocolypse” cookbook.

Food52 has a post on great soups today. The Kitchn has a post on salads. I guess I’m not the only one who is cleaning up her act.
