Vintage Books

I have a terrible habit of buying old books at yard sales. Terribly GOOD.

The trouble is that I can’t keep them all. So, I’m photographing them for sale this morning.

Here’s a set of old history books from 1912.

And a set of poetry books from 1929.

Illustrations from old children’s books are simply amazing. So, I scanned a few of my favorite pictures from the My Bookhouse series.

I’m a rescuer of old books and images that end up in the recycle bins at the end of estate sales. I’m hoping to find some new adoptive parents on Etsy.

  1. I’m fascinated by canon formation and may need to have the poetry books. E- me your asking price? 1929 was such an interesting year literature-wise. It will be so interesting to see what poems are in that collection.

  2. Old books are so cool. Searching for the history books (which should be out of copyright) made my Google login go to German. My books now appear under “Mein Bucher.” Will need to figure out how to fix. But maybe I can just try to brush up on my German.
