Aren’t these scallions beautiful? I marinated them in some balsamic vinegar salad dressing, along with some portobello mushrooms and zucchini. Then grilled them. I think that they were good, but I’m not sure. There were gone by the time I got my plate for dinner. Gotta eat fast around here.


Is the purple from the marinade or have I just never seen a colorful scallion.

yeah, that’s its natural color. We get our veggies from a CSA. It makes all sorts of great scallions, garlic, and onions.
