A nice frittata sounds good for dinner tonight.
I tried, unsuccessfully, to pitch an article to the Atlantic about the state with the most nail salons. I never ran the numbers, but my money is on Jersey. Which state has the most bars? Guess and then hit the link. (thanks to Jeremy T. for that one.)

I knew Wisconsin would be up there in the top 5. People here drink a lot. (But I would like to point out to the author that North Dakota and Wisconsin do not actually share a border…I think he may have meant to say Minnesota?)

I expect that “bars per capita” is a bit misleading. How many people are at each of the bars? Fewer in ND, I’d guess. But, I did learn from my older brother, who used to live in ND, that at closing time the bars there will sell you a 6-pack or half rack or whatever so you can take it with you for the drive home. My impression, from talking to him, was that it was a good thing that there were so few people on the road, since so many of the people driving at night were drunk.

My rule for determining the number of bars in small midwestern towns: count the churches and add one.

I think CA has the most nail salons per capita. It made NYC look “weak” by comparison.

See, don’t you want to know the answer to that question? Stupid male editor who thinks nail salons aren’t business-y enough. Going to pitch this to Slate.
