Kim and her handlers are fighting mad about all the tabloid headlines that say, "Kim Kardashian is Pregnant and Fat, Fat, Fat."
No, Kim isn't fat, but she is a horrible dresser, who is trying very hard to pretend that she isn't pregant.
Leave saving the world to the men? I don't think so.

I read somewhere that Kanye won’t let her wear maternity clothes.

Live by the tabloids, die by the tabloids.
I hope she gets to wear sweat pants at home.

Kai,
Yeah, I’ve heard that Kanye is styling her for her pregnancy, which seems like a bad idea on her part. Weirdly, I kind of have developed a soft spot for the Kardashians. I’ve never seen their show, so maybe they’re beyond annoying, but however obscenely wealthy they are, they work for it, even if working is simply relentless self promotion. Although superficial, it takes a lot to fly around the world and make appearances at store and club openings, and I imagine it’s not as fun as it seems. (Apparently Kim K spends 1-2 hours doing her makeup before leaving the house, which would get tiresome very quickly). Also, not every non-famous socialite can parlay a sex tape into worldwide fame a multi-million dollar empire, and god knows how many dozens have tried. It might be trashy, but clearly it shows drive, some sort of talent (if not in a conventional sense) and business savvy.
Oh, and finally, their mom seems beyond horrible and very likely abusive. It’s hard to blame the daughters too much for being the people they are given they were raised by and still are under the thumb of their mom. Apparently Kris didn’t allow Kim or Khloe go to college, and maybe isn’t letting her younger girls finish HS. There are limited options for women without college degrees, so depending on how their finances are work, this might be their only real career option.

She’s also getting slammed for some terrible acting. I’m almost feeling sorry for her.

The slideshow wasn’t quite as bad as I was expecting. There were some pretty cute outfits in there (grading on a curve for maternity). There were some good ones that were either 1) loose and floaty or 2) tummy-oriented. The ones that were just bigger versions of her normal clothes were terrible. The pencil skirts were mostly awful, as were the items drawing attention to a waist that no longer exists. That is why maternity clothes are a separate clothing category–the old bag of tricks doesn’t work anymore.
One of my least favorite discoveries of last year was that trampy maternity wear is kind of a thing now (I’m somehow not finding any good examples on Amazon right now, but it was all I could find last year). KK’s clothing could be so much worse.
My favorite Amazon discovery last year was a labor and delivery gown with a cocktail print and the name “I dream of Mai Tais.”
You can get one for sushi, too.

I also thought some of the outfits were OK, and some even pretty. I think the pencil skirts aren’t horrible when she wears them high. I think she has an interesting body to work with usually (very big busted, very wide hips and a narrow waist). She styles that body with the tight waist, but couldn’t when she was pregnant.
I don’t feel sorry for her — or the family, but, mostly because i don’t care about them. I find their clothes kind of interesting, because I do think that they offer a different model than the stick thin models in fashion magazines , or the barbie bodies (big breasts, tiny waist, no hips).

It’s her body. She can wear whatever she wants. She has no obligation to transform herself into an object for us.
I don’t like the whole Kardashian phenomenon. It escapes me what these people have done to merit national attention. On the other hand, there’s no rational reason to require her to wear whatever’s deemed suitable maternity wear these days.
