Leave saving the world to the men? I don't think so.

Rand Paul can go much longer without going to the bathroom than I can.

Just walked away from the house we were going to buy. Extra costs just kept popping up. We’re ok with this but disappointed because we desperately need a new house. Our current one has about 1100 sq ft of space, and that’s just not big enough for me and my daughter to live peaceably.
Jealous you’re snuggling a baby. I have to go drive in the snow and somehow get a 13 year old to the eye doctor at 2:45 and dance at 3:30 while ignoring her yelling at me for singing along to the radio.

Could you fix up a tree house for your daughter?

Or maybe a TV and a small fridge in the garage. That’s what the old guys do sometimes.

Is this the baby of someone you know? I hope so, or otherwise you might get arrested.

As a mother of tween girls, I think I would love a fancy backyard treehouse–for myself!!

Hm, just had one of the trees taken down last year, and Sandy and the blizzard did a number on the other. Maybe an underground bunker would work.

Speaking of small houses, I’m still not sure what I think of this one. It really stands out in the neighborhood.

Dishwasher broke. I had to go old school. Every time Mr. Geeky goes out of town, a major appliance breaks down

Our furnace has shut down and our car got hit at an intersection, and, yes, spouse is out of town. And, the kids have baseball, basketball, and meetings. Guck.
Snuggling a newborn would be good (as long as it wasn’t mine).

Wait, didn’t mean to turn this into a whining thread. On the other hand, the kids won at their tournament last weekend, pulling their performance together on the last practice, two days before the tournament. And, we had sun today (which is almost miraculous). And, I finally replaced by 8 year old desktop computer and I feel all I remember once again why the world is a better place for having had Steve Jobs in it, being obsessive, passionate, and probably even rude.

My daughter had to write a “novel” for school. She wrote one due in December then decided it sucked. So instead of editing the first one, she wrote another, and the final edited copy is due tomorrow. It’s about 10K words, which is kind of impressive, if you ask me. And it just drips John Green-ishness. Right now she and her father are working on the “book design” aspect. I proof, he designs.
I am also convinced that no one has any idea how much snow is going to fall from this storm. NWS told us 6-12, then 4-8, and then went back up to 8-12 about 5 hours ago. But nothing’s going on outside right now. So, it could be a dusting, or it could be a foot. Who knows.
