Some links on this very distracted afternoon:
Could you live in a Tiny House?
Would you like to go book shopping with the best read man in America?
Would you like to look in the abandoned suitcases found in old mental asylum?
Leave saving the world to the men? I don't think so.

Michael Dirda is my favourite critic.. it’s an education to read him.
No, I would not like to look in those suitcases. Language Log had a review of a book called “The Museum of Abandoned Secrets”. It occurred to me that sometimes secrets are best abandoned.. I am not strong enough for all those ancient sorrows.

I couldn’t live in the tiny house, but maybe for a weekend cabin?; Not really; I already looked and there aren’t any bones or creepy stuff.

Speaking of cabins, I’m thinking of going to Colorado and getting baked just to see what all the fuss is about. However, I’m not sure my lungs work very well at altitude and I’m worried about the extra stress on them. The one time I went to skiing, I spent the first two nights waking up every half hour because I wasn’t breathing enough.

I think I could live in a Tiny House if it were just me. I don’t think I could share a space–too much negotiating.
I love used book stores and have since I was a kid. I used to love when my parents stopped at “antique” stores on Cape Cod (usually just houses or barns full of old stuff) and look through the old books.
I also enjoyed the piece on the suitcases. I really just like old stuff and thinking about what it means and what it reveals about the people who had it.
