  2. On the college grads demographics, they don’t adjust for age when making that kind of chart. A local blogger keeps mentioning this in reference to Pittsburgh where the rust belting has really shifted the demographics. (I’m not googling very well today and haven’t found it.)

  4. Pittsburgh, and maybe other rust belt cities, have disproportionately large populations of the elderly, a cohort where fewer people went to college.
