I gather 56% of families own an XBox 360, PS, or Wii. http://www.gamezone.com/news/56-of-u-s-households-own-a-xbox-360-ps3-or-wii I assume most of those machines are used to play shoot-em-up and war games, as those games seem to be very popular.
It seems silly to get worked up about an advertisement for a form of entertainment which a majority of American children play in their own living rooms for hours and hours on end.

Wii games are not, as a rule, very violent. I don’t know about the others.
