Totally thrilled that Domino magazine is back.
Leave saving the world to the men? I don't think so.

Regarding the nuns. I hope this will provide a little balance:

One of the oddities of the press coverage is that the media tends to use photographs of habited nuns for the stories, even though the habited orders are not the ones being criticized. The criticized orders are considerably less photogenic.

Another issue is that the non-habited “liberal” orders struggle to get new vocations. The demographics of the situation are that habited “conservative” orders like the famous Nashville Dominicans find it much easier to attract young women. (I’m just using the terms “liberal” and “conservative” here for clarity–the terminology borrowed from the political sphere is misleading, but it’s just shorthand here for a much more complicated discussion.)

Domino IS back but it’s not edited by Debbie Needleman and there is some recycled content. Let’s say “kind of” back. Still good to see though…
