Leave saving the world to the men? I don't think so.

I really don’t know if Davis was innocent or not guilty. It doesn’t matter to me. I’m against the totally. I don’t believe the state has the right to murder anyone, and in doing so we lower ourselves to the level of a criminal.
Lawrence Brewer was also executed today. He did a terrible, horrible thing. I still believe life in prison would’ve been the ending a civilized society would’ve chosen.

Laura — curiosity — is the disgust b/c of general disregard of the death penalty or the thought that he was innocent of the crime as charged?

I have never supported the death penalty – 1)doesn’t deter crime, 2)expense, 3)mistakes can be made, 4)civilized societies don’t do this. This case in particular seems riddled with doubt, so I’m even more disturbed than usual.
