Of the 1.3 million jobs gained, 1 million went to men. The stimulus money went to men. Women are actually losing jobs, as teachers, social workers, and librarians are downsized.

Weren’t the overwhelming majority of jobs lost in the recession male? What’s the net impact?

While I believe the statistic, but that’s not the way it looks in life. I easily know first hand 25 stories of wives being the sole support of their families because their husbands are out of work. I honestly don’t know one woman looking for work that doesn’t already have a job.
There are service industry jobs that women are either more willing to take, or are more comfortable working. I just hired someone, I had 15 women apply (all had jobs) and 2 men (both out of work).
