Every Wednesday, I take Ian to the local Y for swim lessons. The Y has two pools. Ian's pool is reserved for "special kids" at 4:30; the other pool has the eight year old swim team. Little dynamos of muscle and swim caps. The moms and the little brothers sit in the hallway and watch the team do laps through the window. I brought my camera to the Y just to take pictures of these moms, because they're so delightfully intense. A hallway of Tiger Moms. I want to try again next week to get a better shot of their faces. These women are a little more intense than normal, but I can relate to the bench sitting. How many hours have I spent waiting for my kids to finish an activity?

I actually like that I can’t see the faces. It’s a much more artistic shot.
