  1. Just a flashback to last century . . . 1992 to be exact. Russ Feingold was an unknown running in the Democratic primary against two well known figures in Wisconsin. In the last month or so before the primary, the two frontrunners destroyed each other with negative ads–and that is how Russ got to be elected senator for the first time.

  2. In reference to your Twitter feed, does “lots of places to pee” mean a big back yard with lots of bushes or is it strictly limited to toilets and shower stalls?

  3. Me too. I like talking about real estate a lot. Good to hear that curved windows = extra dollars. I’m guessing it’s the space the windows are in that is curved (as opposed to actual curved glass).

  4. I was in a 1970s for-sale-by-owner house yesterday that had two bay windows with window seats (one in the dining room, one in the study). I just about melted on the spot, but the house was just slightly too small for us, so I regretfully crossed it off and told my neighbors, instead.

  5. It had French doors and lots of built-in storage and bookcases, too. The elderly homeowners had built it for themselves, years ago.

  6. I really like those relatively simple built-in things you get in the houses from the 1920s or 1930s houses. I also loathe 90 year old electrical and plumbing systems.
