I'm slowly updating the blogroll. It is taking a long time, because I keep getting distracted by the content on the various blogs.
Some items that caused distraction this morning:
Ezra Klein writes that it would be nice if journalists could utilize political science research. Too bad that non-academics can't get access to the research, because it's hidden behind expensive paywalls. John Sides says that this is indeed a problem and that all political scientists should upload versions of their research on the web.
Under-aged girls in the United States who are rescued from prostitution do not receive proper care after the rescue.
A good recipe for white bean soup.
Reading everything about Google and China. Also Haiti.

From your link where Sides says political scientists should upload versions of their research to the web, I see that the Washington Post doesn’t have a JSTOR account. That seems to be stupid for both parties.

I’m not totally sure what I’m doing under “the academic life” but I will try not to break anything while I’m there.

The blogroll is a work in progress. It actually took a long time to sort through everybody. I usually use my RSS feed to read blogs and not my own blogroll. I’m trying to group various people together who would theoretically talk to each other at a cocktail party. You’re an academic wife, so that’s why you got put there.
