Spreadin’ Love

Maureen Dowd quips about the research that shows that levels of happiness among women have declined in the past few decades. Frankly, we had a more interesting discussion of the topic here and here.

Harry writes about A)why GPAs are a better predictor of success than SATs, and B)why girls are earning better grades than boys. Can't wait to read all the comments.

  1. I’d like to spread love to this article (sorry if you blogged about it or anything, but I just found it):

In terms of work/ life balance, it looks that a higher proportion of black women with advanced degrees are opting for the no-spouse/ no-child route.
Raises many interesting questions in my mind, but not clearly enough to formulate . . .

  2. I am so done with MoDowd! She’s the queen of co-opting a topic weeks (months?) after everyone else is done discussing it. I just hate that she’s the marquee female voice on the Times editorial staff. (I have absolutely no time for Gail Collins – snarkery, while entertaining, does not belong on the editorial page.)
