We're planning on going to Lake George this summer. I'm surfing through web pages of grainy pictures of cottages and am feeling lost. There are too many options. Does anybody have any suggestions of where to stay? Someone told us that Bolton Landing is a nice town on the lake.

Sorry, Lake George is outside of my vast field of knowledge about travel in the Northeast. Cape Cod? New Hampshire? Berkshires? Catskills? Poconos? I’m down with that. Lake George is just alien to me.
But I hear it’s fun. 🙂

e-mail me – I live in Kinderhook (NY) and have been to Lake George a number of times. It depends on what you are looking for. Bolton Landing is on the touristy side but not as much as Lake George village. Hague is quiet. We stayed one year in these cabins which were basic but perfect for us.
