Many TfAers leave after a year or two. It’s part of what TfA is designed to do. Let people experience the horrors of public school and then make a ton of money in a different field so they will donate!

A lot of TfAers, though, have gone into leadership positions in education and education research and policy. I don’t think there’s a good way of discerning the numbers, but anecdotally I’m struck by how many TfA alum I come across in teacher education, in ed schools.
