I keep hearing that applications for Teach for America are way up, because nobody wants to go to Wall Street anymore. Great. Hope they're not hanging out there for a year or two before going back to Wall Street.

  1. Missing from the maternal benefits of breast-feeding article: clears out all your fat-soluble toxins. PCBs, DDT, all that stuff – gets rid of it. They dissolve in the fat in the milk, and out they go!

  2. Many TfAers leave after a year or two. It’s part of what TfA is designed to do. Let people experience the horrors of public school and then make a ton of money in a different field so they will donate!

  3. A lot of TfAers, though, have gone into leadership positions in education and education research and policy. I don’t think there’s a good way of discerning the numbers, but anecdotally I’m struck by how many TfA alum I come across in teacher education, in ed schools.
