Spreadin’ Love

Some guy used to show up on my blog and leave comments about shunning Western women for foreign beauties. I would leave his comments up, because I like a good freak in the comment section. It’s the Internet Way. Well, here’s a whole freaky website devoted to the hatred of Western women. There’s the fun YouTube video, too. Spelling mistakes are the sprinkles on this donut.

I just finished a post for Pajamas Media on Eco-Moms. On Friday, they published a post of mine on the "mom" name tag.

The Daily Political is a new website for aggregating and ranking blog and news stories.

Neither Property Nor Style, a blog written by some grad students, discusses the pros and the cons of putting academic research up on the web. A good post and a good blog. If I have a few minutes later today, I’m going to respond to this post.

  1. As a chubby, somewhat deskilled American housewife, the nomarriage.com criticisms strike pretty close to home.
It’s true that in the traditional areas of female achievement (cooking and cleaning), I come up short. We have cleaning help twice a month and all four of us can eat dinner for about $8 total at the cafeteria while school is in session. On the other hand, I’m a pretty fair hand with laundry and clothing maintenance, I’ve got a handle on the kids’ education, I’ve potty trained my oldest and taught her to read, I’m potty training my youngest, I’ve read at least a dozen child development books, I make sure we don’t run out of toilet paper and Infant Tylenol, I make sure everybody gets regular dental and medical appointments and has clothes that fit, I make sure that Christmas and birthday presents are bought for everybody in a timely manner, I keep to a budget, and I’ve got a long-term plan for paying off our debt, creating an emergency fund, saving for a downpayment, and paying for college and retirement.

  2. By the way, there’s a nice little netflixable documentary called Cowboy del Amor, which is a profile of “Cowboy Cupid” Ivan Thompson, who takes lonely American men to Mexico to look for a wife.

  3. I enjoyed this quality being listed as one of the downsides of American women: most likely to believe in feminism and “equality.” Notice equality in quotes. He’s wrong though, for us real bitchy American’s he’d be lucky to get equality. What we’re really after is some good old matriarchal superiority.

  4. I always paraphrase what those losers say thusly:
“Because I can’t find a woman in my own culture who is willing to have me, I’ll volunteer to be taken advantage of by a foreigner looking for a green card.”

  5. Castro is out. If Cuba opens, we will see a whole new wave of schlubs married to young and pretty women who like their cute little passports.
