A couple of hours ago, the media reported that Benazir Bhutto was wounded. Now, we find out that she died in the attack. What a tragedy.

I literally gasped when I heard- my husband questioned why I acted so shocked and I realized that although I really haven’t thought much about her or followed her return to Pakistan recently, she was influencial to me as a young woman. I have always just marveled at how a woman could rise to power in a society that so devalued women. Amazing and brave brave woman….. tragedy indeed Laura!
