  1. I never feel guilty about reading gossip. 🙂 My guilty pleasure is reading spoilers for tv shows. There’s a site out there that has partial scripts used for casting tv shows and movies. I love reading them. What makes me feel really pathetic, though, is reading spoilers for Hannah Montana.

  2. Jane Galt. It’s so bad, and I know each post is going to have the same flat sarcasm and make the same argument about how holding median beliefs is inherently good, but man — the comments are such a delicious riot, how can I resist?

  3. I’m with Lisa. Go Fug Yourself. Absolutely spectacular consistency of tone, these are the mean girls who tormented you in high school. Wonderful.

  4. Weird porn. Stuff that makes you say, “Why would ANYONE write this?”
Like Kennet Shardik’s “Journal Entries”, or the bizarre set of stories about a version of “Junkyard Wars” where the contraptions to be built are sex toys.

  5. For me, the biggest on-line time waster is “pretend shopping.” I to to all my favorite sites, and check out their sale items. J. Crew; Boden; Garnet Hill; REI; Levenger – you name it – I go there. I add things to my cart, but never actually purchase them. I do enjoy seeing how much I’ve “saved,” though.
OK, so sometimes, I do purchase. But mostly, not.
Seriously, I can waste 30 minutes at a time doing this. Especially at night after the kids are asleep. come to think of it…didn’t I see that Pottery Barn was having a sale…
