  1. We’ve only got two, thankfully. One caboose and the Old Slow Coach (who is not red, btw). We don’t own a James or his tender, though.
    Yay, globalization. 😛

  2. your kids still putting stuff in their mouths? If not, I don’t see what there is to worry about.

  3. Nothing to worry about? You don’t think chipping paint (which the will all do when played with) could potentially be a hazard to your child?

  4. I just want to know is it only the wooden toys or is it the others as well. My four year old nephew has several different ones but they are all plastic or the metallic ones we have no wooden should we be concerned or not.
    thank you

  5. We have 5 recalled toys, but we are keeping them for evidence. My boys are ages 3 and 1, and are having blood tests done today to screen for lead poisoning. The older son has developmental delays, especially with speech, that we have been unable to explain – maybe we now have an answer. He’s played with his Thomas & Friends trains every day for over a year, including sleeping with them at his face or in his hands. Some paint has chipped from portions of the toys from one or both boys chewing on them. It infuriates me how this RC2 Corporation is raking in big bucks by using underpaid Chinese workers to spray toxic paint on a $12 train that probably cost less than $1 to make! If either of my boys has lead poisoning, I vow to go after RC2 with everything I can. Parents need to take lead toxins seriously. The harmful effects on kids’ brains are proven and well-documented.
