Despite Hillary’s big polling number, she sure isn’t getting a lot of love from the liberal blogosphere. It’s down right chilly, in fact. Hilzoy thinks she’s not cut out to be president. Scott doesn’t think she can win, though Kevin Drum does. Pam at Pandagon ain’t impressed. (more later)
Blog Gossip — Echidne is now blogging at TAPPED. Good job, J.. Glad you’ve chosen a new, easier to spell name.

I think Clinton suffers the same problem as her husband – she’s more popular abroad than with the US electorate.

Is *anyone* who voted for this war is electable? I don’t think so.

She’s a senator. Hasn’t been very productive in her first term, and her one big administrative effort (Hillarycare, remember?) was not very successful. The Reeps could lose this, I think it’s likely, and if she’s the Dem it could fall in her lap. But it’s hard to see a lot of people voting for her with enthusiasm for her. The Dems do a whole lot better when they nominate governors from big states – Rendell, for example, or even from small states – Bredesen, Vilsack, Richardson. I think Richardson has too much of a zipper problem (though Clinton got elected with at least as bad a zipper problem) but I think the Dem ticket most likely to win would be Vilsack-Obama or Rendell-Obama.
