Down the Shore

ROAD TRIP! And spontaneous one, too. We’re going “down the shore”, because we live in New Jersey and no one “goes to beach.” T – 25 minutes, so I really have to bullet.

Reading suggestions: Please read the ongoing comments on my family values post. These comments should be required reading to every 21 year old who wants to get married, because they want to get some place settings. Other bloggers have been telling their stories on their blogs, as well. More on this topic later in the week.

Question of the Day: It was hot as hell yesterday. Too hot for a red head and two strawberry blond kids to bake at the swim club, so we rented some movies at Blockbuster. Blockbuster separates the new from the old. Nothing later than two months ago gets star treatment in their recent releases shelf. Anything older than five years ago gets stored in the bathroom above the toilet. Except for Office Space. Five copies of Office Space were front and center.

Why did Office Space become a cult classic? What makes a cult classic?

  1. The red stapler, and the fact that it epitomizes suburban dingy-white collar anomie better than any other movie ever made.
