Wonkette pans the Gore’s new chicklit book in the Times Book Review section. It’s not bad, it’s just not any good. God knows, an astringent romantic satire is long overdue in a town where work is foreplay and the vibrating object in a couple’s bed could easily be a two-way pager.
quote of the day:
Look, any fair-minded boy with a professionally bonded smile on his face and a Carpenters song in his head can be an optimist. Being a pessimist – now that requires faith in one’s convictions, a negative capability that would make Keats stand on tiptoes and above all else, creativity.

Would it be possible to read your paper on politics and blogging? I’m doing some research into blogs and communication so would be interested to read your findings. Thanks. (Nice blog you have, too.)

I read the Gore book. Some amusing parts and laugh out loud moments. But it has the basic problem I have with all chick lit–overcutesieness of the main female character.
