Final Words On Christie

The news cycle for the past 48-hours has been Christie-Time. I had a long list of boring chores yesterday morning, so I flipped on the TV in the next room, listened to the Christie’s press conference and checked items off my list. I installed a new printer, printed out labels for the holiday cards, took care of paperwork for the kids, wrote a holiday newsletter, purged e-mail, and still had time to spare. The “Poor Me” press conference went on and on.

Dave Weigel tweeted, “Did Christie accidentally fire the staffer who tells him when to end a press conference?”

Christie was remarkably on point for the whole time. He never deviated from his talking points, which were sad, humiliated, devastated, and not my fault. I think the big winner of the day was Chris Christie, because of the Kardashian principle, ie there is no such thing as bad publicity.

The new jobs report has broken giving pundits something new to talk about.
