Gift Guide 2010 #11 – Non-Fiction Books

I’m itching to get my hands on some new non-fiction books this Christmas. These books are on my list:

  1. Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption (Laura Hillenbrand is a fantastic author. Seabiscuit is one of my all time favorites. I also love her essay about overcoming cronic fatigue syndrome.)
  2. Autobiography of Mark Twain, Vol. 1 (Three of you have already ordered this book through one of my links. Thanks!)
  3. The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
  4. The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine by Michael Lewis (I read this book a few weeks ago. Lewis has the gift of being able explain complicated money stuff, while writing compelling character studies.)
  5. Just Kids by Patti Smith (She’s just so cool.)
  6. Changing My Mind: Occasional Essays by Zadie Smith (I really loved her essay on Facebook this year.)
