It’s a blurry picture, but it makes me very happy. See that redhead? That’s Ian in dead center of the percussion section of the 6th grade band. Not bad for the kid who failed Kindergarten Intake.

“..Not bad for the kid who failed Kindergarten Intake..” Nice line. I had a golden moment sort of like that, my #1 was absolutely on fire one day in 4th grade soccer. He would get the ball toward the back of the field and dribble on up to the goal between defenders and put it in. He did this about five times. So I said to the gaping dad next to me, “Not bad for an Initial Apgar of 3″….

AWESOME!! Does he enjoy the drums and music in general? Band is mandatory in our sons’ small school & they play trombone & French horn, but both have piano lessons on the side too.
