It was the final day of cleaning up Aunt Theresa’s house for sale. The real estate agent is taking pictures tomorrow. Open house on Sunday. Here’s what we did with furniture that escaped the estate sale and the dumpster, $300 at IKEA, and some elbow grease.
Pictures below the fold:

Impressive. Did you paint? I can’t believe how great it looks (especially the floors) after your description.
Are you even a little tempted to buy it yourself?

Yes, it is tempting to take this house myself, but I have a special needs kid and we’re now in one of the best towns for special ed. I can’t move for another ten years.
My folks fixed the major problems like the plumbing, the roof, and the ceiling in the dining room. They didn’t fix the big bathroom upstairs, so the new owners could fix it up the way that they liked. There was a little painting done in the areas where repairs happened; the rest needs paint. The floors are in excellent condition, because they were under carpet. It’s amazing what can be done by pulling down granny-ish curtains and adding new bedcovers.
