Thursday Morning in Jersey

Ian started camp yesterday at a hippie camp at a Jewish Community Center. Well, it’s run by a bunch of kibbutz-y, Israeli-types, but it’s in a fabulous multi-million dollar facility. The camp at this JCC is located a few miles from the main facility at a boy scout camp on the high cliff over the Hudson River. So, my inner-hippie loves the whole communal living, diversity minded, make-up free counselors, love and peace message. But my not-so-inner Jersey girl loves the fact that I can get a mani-pedi at the spa just before picking up Ian.

On the way back home, I stopped into a garden center to chat with a guy about why my tomato plants aren’t entirely happy. They should be a few inches taller by the end of June.

I have a silly, pop culture article that I want to pump out before noon, and a contract to sign for a retread of an old article at a small magazine. Contemplating a job that would have been the perfect job ten years ago.

Minor work stuff this morning, and then Jonah and I have a date at noon to watch USA v. Germany. Woot!!

At 1, Jonah has two doctor’s appointments and then Ian’s pick up. I should be back home by 5.
