It’s an addiction. After an article of mine is published, I HAVE to monitor its progress on social media. I love seeing who passes it on and what they say. This last one is getting a lot of love on Facebook. It’s getting some Twitter love, too, but mostly it’s Facebook. But I knew that’s what would happen. This article was aimed at parents, and middle aged folks are on Facebook more than Twitter. I wanted parents to print it out and give it to their superintendents. And based on the Facebook comments that I can read, it sounds like that’s happening. Yay. One woman said it was the best article that she’s ever read. Hee.

So, I was up at 6 am. After I spent some time snooping on social media, I greeted the tree guys who showed up with their bad-ass machines. They pulled up some ragged shrubs and one large oak in the corner of the property that floods during rainy days. We need to put in a retaining wall. So boring, yet so necessary. If we still have money in the coffers when that’s all done, we need to put a necessary, but boring roof on the house. Green things are growing on the current roof.

Then off to the local elementary school to volunteer for Arts Day. Back home for more social media spying. And now out again.

I’ll do more blogging (of the girlie variety) later in the afternoon.

  7. Congrats! Though I have to say that I totally read the piece on artisanal toast. As a long-time lover of toast made from excellent bread, I think it’s a long-overdue concept.

  8. It’s the few times I posted something autism related and change the privacy settings on it so my child’s principal would see it on his feed (he friended me, how could I say no?). It worked, he “liked” it. Hopefully he’ll have taken it to heart.
