Ian finished school last Friday. He entitled to something called Extended School Year for July. He attends a town rec program in the morning with a shadow, then he goes back to the classroom with his seven classmates in an empty school for art projects and math worksheets. It kinda sucks, but it is free and Ian needs structure.
Actually, Ian would tell you that he doesn’t need structure. Ian is pefectly happy to play video games and make iMovies for the entire day. I can force him to go outside and ride his bike around the block a couple of times, but without some planned activity, he is either watching the clock (no games before 12) or crowding me off my computer. We can’t have that, so that means I’m Camp Director for the week.
What does Camp Apt. 11D look like?
It involves several trips to Barnes and Noble.
It’s fun to read books, while having a snack!
Have to check out the tents in the camping store.
Bagels with big brother at the town pool.
Attending a super-long graduation.
This Camp Director is rather exhausted.
