Who is Wendy Davis?

I never heard of Wendy Davis before her filibuster in the Texas state legislature yesterday. She was all over the morning shows this morning. It gave me the opportunity to explain how the filibuster works to Jonah, before he left for his last day of school. Jonah is always shocked when I know stuff.
