Most of the Italian population that immigrated to the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh came from Abruzzi, but different villages. They mostly moved to avoid all the students and become suburban dwellers, but some still run businesses there (restaurants and my barber). A couple of the families send their kids to the same school we send my son to.

Haaaa! We definitely drove down that alley until our rental car no longer fit (thanks google maps). Backed out and drove to see the Matterhorn from the Italian side of the Alps
