While there is a growing national interest in government-supported, early childhood education, Arne Duncan’s pre-K expansion plan has little chance of getting through Congress. This has to be a state-led initiative.

  1. One of the most successful things Georgia has done in the past few decades is the initiation of Georgia Pre-K funded by our state’s lottery. The results are astounding. Educationally-speaking, Georgia is a dismal state. But we got this one thing right!
