August Weirdness

For one month a year, August, when camps gets out, we pretend that we're homeschoolers. The children are my little social experiment and it's time to play with them.

This being Day One of Homeschooling Jersey Edition, I was super ambitious. I took them to the track at 9am and we did laps. I was so gung ho, I ended up training not only Jonah, but some random kid who showed up at the track to get ready for high school cross country. He wasn't that happy about me making him do 400's , but he went along with it.

Then it was shower and reading for two hours. Lunch. Downtime. Errands. Swim club. Then I did more errands and made dinner. I'm pretty tired now and plan on ignoring them for the rest of the evening. Or maybe until September.

Between children being underfoot, projects that have deadlines, and next week's trip to North Carolina, blogging will be erratic.
