Weekend Trip to Boston

It's been a rather intense seven days. The school year ended with the myriad of end of year chores – gift cards for bus drivers, heart felt notes to teachers, two Field Days. The kids were home most of the week, and it was constant work to keep them from playing computer games for 12 hours at a time. The air conditioner broke. We planned a weekend trip to Boston to chill out together, but it wasn't as chill as we would have liked.

I packed, while writing something that took much longer than expected. Steve couldn't get out of work even 30 minutes early, so I drove into Manhattan at rush hour. I picked him up in Times Square and then we drove to Boston. I typed 1,500 words with one finger on an iPad on the drive to Boston and then edited in spare moments of the weekend.

So, I'm tired.

Boston was extremely fun. We went to the Aquarium, Quincy Market, and the U.S.S. Constitution. We had dinner with great friends. We needed more time.
