The kids are home this week. During weeks like this, I have learned to give up control of events and let things happen as they happen. Because of a late start out of the house yesterday, we ended up at the Cloisters, instead of midtown Manhattan. Which was just fine, because we got to see the Lewis Chessmen. I also got to take lots of pictures of great gardens for inspiration.
After sauntering through the museum and the gardens, we walked around the park. Ian carried around a dragon puppet that he chose as an early birthday present from the gift shop. Jonah kicked his soccer ball around, because simply walking in a straight line is way too boring.
