Pfui on your climbing tree! I grew up in Berkeley. Yah! The Norfolk Island pines which people buy at the supermarket here and keep going for a few miserable years in their apartments? Well, we had one in the yard. It was 80 feet high, the branches were at 90 degrees to the trunk. I could climb up to 60 feet, and had a view of the Golden Gate. Like a jungle gym, it was. AND it had black sap which went all over your hands and was totally immune to mother’s efforts. What’s not to like?
