Apt. 11D Spring and Breaks and Pokemon

It's a lovely warm, damp day in New Jersey. The hostas are starting to peek above the ground. I can see the peonies starting to grow, too. I'm going to rake out the last of the fall leaves from the garden and put down some nice mulch. After this gruesome winter, this weather is making me seriously happy.

Blogging will be patchy for the next couple of weeks. Ian has his spring break this week, and Jonah's break is the following week, which is super convenient. At least I'm not working a 9 to 5 right now, because then I would be totally screwed by their out of sync schedule.

We survived our Open House this week. The biggest challenge was keeping two boys from working on any "projects" that involved plastering their bedroom walls with pictures of planets and Pokemon during the one hour that I fell into a dead sleep on the sofa from the exhaustion of cleaning and when I relied on my dear husband to keep the home from degenerating into its usual insanity that would surely scare away prospective buyers.

Alright, let's plow through the RSS feed and the e-mail and look for some good stuff to share …

  1. You’re in a great situation: you have a house you like, your situation is better than tolerable. If you get a swell offer, you sell. If you don’t, you don’t. And if you sell, you then get another house – or rent for a while. Power in real estate is all with the person who doesn’t need the deal to happen: you are that person.
