I'm sympathetic to these kids. I compulsively check Twitter and the blog at the expense of reading. But I recognize this is a problem. I'm blocking out more unplugged time in my life; I try to avoid the computer on the weekends. I also set lots of boundaries around my kids' usage of technology.

I wonder if there's a technology-backlash forming. Will we soon see weekend spas that boast no Internet access? Computer-free charter schools?
